Photographing food can be tricky but fun, here's why!
Depending on what your photographing your window of opportunity is shallow so you have to move quickly, most times the food is under cooked so it maintains that fresh none greasy blah look. When shooting food you always need a stand in so you can set
your lighting and find your camera angle. Be over prepared, always have an abundance of props and ingredients to help create more depth in the photo.
What you see is not always the real product.
White glue substitutes as milk, shaving cream as whipped cream, motor oil as maple
syrup and mashed potatoes for ice cream. These are a few of the many tricks
photographers use to create that yummy food you see in advertising.
